Broadcasted Matches

An observer will contact teams and set up matches if selected.

Non-Broadcasted Matches

The left-hand team hosts the lobby:

1. Open Chess.com
2. Select Private Match
3. Create Private Match
4. Enter a Custom Name and Password
5. Adjust preferred settings and create a match

Match Format

Four games - 
If it's a draw after 4 games, proceed to Armageddon Decider.

Left would play white first in the game
The right side would play black in the second game
Left would play white in the third game
The right side would play the black fourth game

The left side would be white if it goes to a 5th game; if the game results in a draw, Black wins. 

Standard 5-3 games
Armageddon 5-0 games

Teams should wait for all players to join the match before choosing sides.

Technical Pauses

• Max 10 minutes per map
• Must state reason in chat

• AI Bots
• Scripts
• Exploits/bugs

Players, and clubs must submit permission via the Streaming Request

If a controversial situation occurs, whether or not it is described in this rule during a match, the team that has spotted it should capture evidence if possible and immediately stop the match and inform the admins via the tournament system. If the team does not stop the match and continues to play until the maps conclusion, this will be taken as an acceptance of the situation. If the map is played in full both teams will lose all rights to file a protest concerning that situation after the game has ended. Protests must be made immediately, or they may be ignored depending on the circumstances.

Protests must be created via the Esports Wales Discord to the Tournament Admin.
